Mercat de Sant Josep

I was staying at an apartment overlooking Mercat de Sant Josep, also commonly known as La Boqueria which is probably the best known food market in Barcelona.

Situated off the famous Las Ramblas just yards away from tourist filled substandard tapas bars you can find an amazing choice of traditional food an ingredients alike.

TAPAS X SANGRIA X MANCHEGO X AIOLI

It's pretty easy to find a whole lot of bog standard greasy tapas in Barcelona. Most good food guides recommend straying as far from Las Ramblas as possible when looking for good Catalan food.

Sant Antoni food market has a superb little tapas bar in the centre of the market that is to die for.

The Sant Antoni food market is on Monday - Saturday from 7am - 9pm (but closed from 2-5pm for siesta)

WHERE ? Ronda Sant Pau/Carrer Comte d’Urgell

Always wash down with 1 x large jug of Sangria.
